What They're Saying Now: Coffee and Your Health

mystery_228x320.jpg

Even though there has been ongoing research over the past few decades on the study of coffee and its effect on health, the results seem to flip flop back and forth so often that it is hard to keep track.

People are still confused as to whether or not coffee is considered as being bad for their health, and with the amount of coffee drinkers in the world today, this is obviously a serious issue to bring to the table.

The most current research, performed by the integral and renowned Harvard Medical School, reveals that as long as coffee is drank in moderation, a few cups a day or less, there are no negative side effects on the human body.

From their research they find coffee to be a safe beverage, which if anything actually offers certain benefits to the health.

Harvard Medical School tells us that:

The latest research has not only confirmed that moderate coffee consumption doesn't cause harm, it's also uncovered possible benefits. Studies show that the risk for type 2 diabetes is lower among regular coffee drinkers than among those who don't drink it. Also, coffee may reduce the risk of developing gallstones, discourage the development of colon cancer, improve cognitive function, reduce the risk of liver damage in people at high risk for liver disease, and reduce the risk of Parkinson's Disease.

It can certainly be hard to keep track of all the different information on coffee, what with the new "facts" and opinions on coffee and what effect it has on our health.

However, the fact remains that with the extensive amount of research that has been done thus far, it seems as though all the coffee lovers out there have nothing to worry about in terms of fulfulling their love of coffee, as long as they do it in moderation.

Of course if you drink twenty cups of coffee a day you are going to be overdoing it and be overloading your body with caffeine.

Other than that, enjoy!
