Torrefacto Roast Has More Antioxidants Than Regular Roast

According to a report, if you really want to optimize your coffee intake in regards to your health, you will want to make the switch to Torrefacto-roasted coffee.

The reason is quite simple. According to biologist Isabel López Galilea, Torrefacto-roasted coffee has significantly higher antioxidant properties than natural roast.

Galilea, the researcher of Department of Food Sciences, Physiology and Toxicology of the University of Navarra, devoted a great deal of time to this cause, and came out of it with results that would interest any coffee enthusiast.

In order to carry out this research, Isabel López analyzed the coffee consumption habits of the inhabitants of Navarra, via 300 surveys. The results showed that Navarrans consume an average of 125 ml of coffee per day, with consumption slightly higher among women. In addition, they primarily consumer ground coffee resulting from a mixture of natural roast and torrefacto-roast coffees, and the coffee is generally prepared with Italian or mocha coffee makers, followed by the filter, espresso and pump methods.

Terrefacto-roasted coffee is created by making a medium to dark roast, followed by a dipping in caramelized sugar.

The bottom line is that if you want even more reasons backing you up as to why you should be drinking coffee, you should start drinking terrefacto-roasted coffee.

Have you tried it and if so, what are your opinions on it?
