The World's Most Expensive Cup of Coffee

If you would like to indulge in some delicious gourmet coffee and are up for paying the hefty price tag, you will want to try the Caffé Raro at a London department store.

The coffee here is a blend of Jamaican Blue Mountain and the exclusive Kopi Luwak bean, made by the infamous DeLonghi Company, and will be served to you for £50 (roughly $100) per cup.

Joe Teixeira, head of catering for Peter Jones, said that the store's customers are more concerned with unique experiences and an appetite for the weird and wonderful, whatever the expense.

David Cooper, creator of the DeLonghi Caffé Raro, World Barista Championship Judge and Board Director of the World Barista Championships, has stated that:

DeLonghi's Caffé Raro is an extremely exciting coffee and a first for the UK - if not the world! These two incredible rare coffees have never been blended before and the result is a very rich and full tasting espresso. These coffees have been slowly hand roasted for around 12 minutes to ensure that we maximize the potential of each coffee. The final roast color is quite dark to ensure that the espresso is perfect for a smooth latte or cappuccino.

If you like your coffee smooth, rich, and expensive, this will be the perfect cup for you.
