Cocaine Drink Finds More Store Shelves

cocaine energy drink

Naming your product after an illegal drug is a controversial move, to say the least. For Cocaine Energy Drink, it literally got them kicked off store shelves in the U.S.. They even attempted to rename and rebrand the beverage as 'No Name' to get the drink back on American shelves. The parent company Redux Beverages quickly realized that 'No Name' just couldn't pack the same punch as Cocaine, so they ditched the 'No Name' idea and pulled the drink from shelves again this time without a nudge from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Now the drink is back under the original Cocaine brand name, it's back on some store shelves in the U.S., and this seriously potent caffeinated beverage is now making new distribution in-roads around the world.

A controversial energy drink named after a Class A drug and likened to party pills is coming to New Zealand.

Cocaine Energy Drink, which contains three-and-a-half times the caffeine of Red Bull, is due to be on the shelves by August.

One serving of Cocaine Energy Drink contains roughly as much caffeine as 16 ounces of brewed coffee or three servings of espresso.
